I’ve been gone for a couple of days for some very WET camping, but I’m back and wanted to do a quick video on selecting the right fruit for seed saving.

I’ve never saved my own seed before. It’s something that I’ve wanted to do, but never got around to it. That’s a good checklist to go by. I’ll have to remember it.
You should. It raises the personal satisfaction level of the garden, just one more notch.
I have been reading more about saving seeds. The method you mentioned to localize the best plants for the area is becoming more popular in the seed saving community. Well, maybe it always has been for those saving seeds but it seems that more articles are being written about the process now. It’s one of those “DUH” things, don’t you think? It was probably second nature for our ancestors who had to survive off what they grew.
Have a great sun gardening day.
Exactly! It seems like a lot of people are trying to recapture some of that knowledge. At the very least there is a renewed interest and respect for the “old way of doing things”.
BTW, the watermelon weighed in at 13.5 pounds, was super juicy and mighty delicious. Definitely a check mark in the Taste column. These are my seeds for next year!
