The tomatoes are producing. We had the first larger tomato this morning. Night time temps are still below 80 so the plants continue to set fruit.
I have to say, I’m excite to slice this and have it on a sandwich.
The watermelons are growing in number and size. I did run into a minor complication. The vines started to grow down the side of my house and have made there way into a roll of unused chicken wire. A melon started to grow and is now inseparable from the chicken wire. I’m reminded of people who have put watermelons in boxes to grow square melons. That is a bit intriguing to me…

Hey I seen a pic that had a link to your site on it. It was a head of corn with some weird black stuff on the end of it. Well I was just trying to find out what growth is on my corn and thought maybe you came across what the issue was or what it could possibly be? One of my readers at the time called it huitlacoche. Said it is considered a delicacy. People eat weird things.
