Fodder!

This is the result of my latest experiment. Actually it’s the third iteration of my latest experiment. An attempt to grow fodder from hard red wheat. The result is an organic, nutritious, and inexpensive feed for my six laying hens.

    Wheat grass is also VERY good for people too! You can juice it, add a touch of lemon juice and you have an amazing natural juice.

    I’ve heard, but never tried it. I did sample a few pieces before I gave it to the ladies. It tastes like… I just cleaned out the lawn mower. Maybe it’s an acquired taste.
